Mound, Tenn.–The Hopewell United Methodist Church in Stewart County was blessed recently by the work and fellowship of three inmates from the Stewart County Jail.

Church officials said, “Joyfulness can present itself through a multitude of forms. Following a request of our church to the Stewart County Sheriff’s Department, (Sheriff) Frankie Gray permitted these young men to perform some much needed maintenance at our church. These men did an amazing job renovating the church.”

Additionally, church officials said they were honored to have these volunteers share meals and spend some quality time studying scripture with the congregation.

“All in participation recognized the work they did was accomplished as a community effort and showed appreciation and a thankful service to God’s house. Hopewell United Methodist Church truly appreciates their work and will continue to pray that these men benefit from our time together and incorporate God’s blessings in their lives. Thank you, Sheriff Gray, both for providing this opportunity for our church and your continual support of the Stewart County community”.

The church is located in Mound, Tenn.
