Union City, Tenn.–Three Union City men have been charged in the burglary and theft at a local storage unit.
Union City Police Lt. Derrick O’Dell said on August 21, a burglary at a storage unit located at 1119 S. Ury St. was reported and property was stolen.
O’Dell said the victim was missing a Honda generator, ATV wheels and tires, camping equipment and tools. With assistance of the owners of the storage unit buildings, a video of storage unit area was obtained. The video showed the suspects and suspect vehicle.
Patrol Officer Blake Lively located the suspect vehicle on August 24 at 208 S. Third St. in Union City. The vehicle was loaded with the stolen ATV tires.
Clarence Tyler Hicks, age 25 of Union City, and Jacob Ragan, age 23 of Union City, were arrested at the residence for possession of the stolen property.
Investigator Josh Lovell continued the investigation and obtained confessions from Ragen and Hicks of their involvement in the burglary of the storage unit and theft of property. From the confessions of Ragen and Hicks along with the surveillance video, Inv. Lovell also charged Christian “BooBoo” Jones, age 18 of Union City, with the burglary and theft.
