Hardin, Ky.–Johnny Mac of Paris will be a headliner at this weekend’s Kenlake Hot August Blues Festival. The festival is an annual event held on the shore of Kentucky Lake in Hardin, Ky. and will be held Friday and Saturday, August 27-28.
The Kenlake Hot August Blues Festival is an annual event, always the weekend before Labor Day weekend. Always featuring the BEST in BLUES in one of the most beautiful settings in the nation for a music festival, and is the longest consecutively running music festival in the state of Kentucky.
Johnny Mac will perform at 9:15 p.m. Friday night. Other musicians are Band of Brothers, Lew Jetton and 61South, The Legendary Shack Shakers and more.
This year, you can hear the music from the water, too. Officials said, “This year we are excited to offer something very special for our boating friends! In order to create a better experience for those of you who join us on the waters of Lake Kentucky, we have decided to provide a dedicated professional sound system from Danley Sound Labs. This sound system will be devoted to supplying a high quality transmission of what is happening live on The Harper Guitars Blues Stage directly out to the boats. In order to make this happen, we are asking for donations from boaters to help cover the cost of providing the sound system. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated as we will only be able to turn on the sound system if we can reach our goal of $2500. We thank you for your support and hope to see you this weekend!”
