Union City, Tenn.–A handful of cross-country runners from Union City High School and UC Middle School were rewarded for strong showings in a weekend jamboree at Jackson State Community College.
Cedrion Cook was fifth out of 138 runners in a strong boys’ high school field. Kennedi Robinson was 11th and Bailey Wagoner 13th among 127 runners in the girls’ competition.
On the middle school level, Woodrow McKinnis was 16th and Rushdon Howell 24th out of 155 participants.
This week, both programs will open their regular seasons at Dresden – the high school squads competing Tuesday and the middle school teams running on Thursday.
