Paris, Tenn.–Little Ella Grace Ashby and her pony “Bud” couldn’t wait get to the Judges’ Table at Tuesday night’s Henry County Fair Pet Show. And why not? They won Child Best in Show as well as Best Child & Animal Team at the annual show, which drew a large crowd to the Commercial Building. Winner of Adult Best In Show was Jaida Wellman and Ruby.
Sponsored each year by the Mineral Wells Animal Clinic and emceed by Mike Wilson, the event is always one of the most popular at the fair.
First place winners were: Most Original Costume, Slayden Hosford and Carl; Most Obedient, Jaiden Wellman and Ruby; Best Local Shelter Success Story Loan Edwards and Biscuit; Most Mysterious Heritage Cathy Bullington and Vadale; Best Tail Wag Jay Hosford and Carl; Best Child/Animal Team Ella Grace Ashby and Bud; Best Trick Jaiden Wellman and Ruby; Biggest Animal Bud the pony and Smallest, Bandit with Garrett Carver.
Michelle Hopkins of Mineral Wells Animal Clinic said, “We were super happy with the turnout.”
