
Huntingdon, Tenn.–Approximately 12,500 threadfin shad were released on Tuesday at the Carroll County Thousand Acre Recreational Lake.
Officials from the Carroll County Watershed Authority, County Mayor Joseph Butler, Huntingdon Mayor Dale Kelley, and Chamber President Brad Hurley joined several local fisherman in watching the release of the fish.
The threadfin shad were paid for by the Carroll County Chamber Fish Care Account. As soon as more funds are secured, more orders for threadfin shad will be made.
The Carroll County Thousand Acre Recreational Lake is located on Boyd’s Landing Road, Huntingdon.
