Martin, Tenn.–The Slide & Ride Saloon in Martin has announced on its Facebook page that it will be closing temporarily while owners make “changes to our venue and to our general concept.”
The temporary closure follows two shooting incidents which occurred there recently.
According to the notice, owners said they wanted to “formally address the unnecessary and senseless actions that took place.”
Owners said they were sending their thoughts and prayers to the young man who was injured and those affected and that they hope for a quick recovery.
“After sincere thought and consideration, we are temporarily closing to make some changes to our venue and to our general concept.” They said they plan to reopen in a few weeks.
