Paris Woman Jailed On Drug Charges

Paris, Tenn.–A Paris woman is in the Henry County Jail on several charges after a search warrant was executed at her home.

On July 16, 2021, members of the Metro Crime Unit, Paris Police Department, and the Henry County Sheriff’s Department conducted a search warrant at 3085 County Home Road. 

According to the press release from the Paris Police Department, contact was made with the home owner Tammy Medlock as she was pulling into her driveway.  Medlock already had an active warrant for Felon in possession vicious dog.  Medlock was taken into custody for the active warrant. 

Officers then executed the search warrant for the home and during the search there was several pieces of Drug Paraphernalia found in the home. 

According to the press release, Medlock was taken to the Henry County Sheriff Department for booking and while being searched prior to the booking procedure, it was discovered that she was possibly concealing narcotics on her person. Another search warrant was obtained to search further so she was taken to the Henry County Medical Center where approx. 29.6 grams of methamphetamine was recovered from her person.

After the search at the HCMC, Medlock was booked into the Henry County Sheriff Department without further incident.  She was charged with Possession of Sch II drug with intent to sale, manufacture and/or deliver, Tampering with evidence, Contraband into a penal institution, and Drug paraphernalia. 

Medlock’s bond was set at $35,000 on the new charges and $2000 on the warrant. She is to be in General Session Court on 7/22/2021.
