
Martin, TN— Early Wednesday morning, Martin Police Officer Brooklyn Privitt investigated a report of a stolen vehicle at 141 Oak Street in Martin. Officer Privitt spoke to the victim, Clifford McWerther, who said that a white 2017 Ford F-150 Lariat was stolen from his driveway at 3:22 a.m. He told Officer Privitt that the vehicle was unlocked with the keys inside it.
On top of the stolen truck, a Polaris 90 four-wheeler, a key fob to a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado, two spare tires, and three pressure washer hoses were also taken from the property in the theft.
The police report states, that it appears that the suspect(s) did try to steal the 2021 Silverado, but was unable to because it had a trailer attached. Video footage shows a failed attempt to remove the trailer from the Silverado in an effort to steal it.
An alert has been placed to be on the lookout for the white 2017 Ford F-150 in surrounding cities and counties in the area. If anyone has any information, please contact the Martin Police Department at 731-587-5355.
