Thousands of brand-new yuletide items — from lighted trees to outdoor decorations to tree-trimmings — as well as a wide variety of festive pre-loved decor will be sold at bargain prices during Goodwill’s Christmas in July event on Saturday and Sunday, July 17-18.

Each of Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee’s 29 retail stores will have dozens of lighted artificial trees available, with 9-foot spruce and fir varieties priced at $79.99 or $99.99, respectively. Large outdoor yard decorations, including a lighted Santa Claus, will be under $50. And packages of ornaments, snowflakes and snow-blankets will be just $2. Many other new items, such as LED light strings and candles, light-testers and wreath-holders also will be available.

New-in-box Christmas merchandise was donated by Lowe’s Home Improvement.

GOODWILL CHRISTMAS IN JULY EVENT

10 a.m.-6 p.m., Sunday, July 18

“This is a wonderful opportunity to deck your halls for a beautiful holiday season while saving a sleigh-full of money,” said Leisa Wamsley, Goodwill’s Vice President of Donated Goods. “It’s also a great way to support a nonprofit organization that serves the community year-round.”

Purchases at the Christmas in July event, just like purchases from Goodwill’s stores on all other days, benefit the nonprofit organization’s mission of changing lives through education, training and employment.

Goodwill stores will be open normal hours — 9 a.m.-8 p.m. on Saturday, July 17, and from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Sunday, July 18. Goodwill’s two outlets will not participate in the event.
