
Paris, Tenn.–A Paris man is being held on $25,000 bond in the Henry County Jail after his arrest on drug and weapons charges today by the Metro Crime Unit
Officers from the Metro Crime Unit found some 8.5 pounds of high grade marijuana with one ounce of psychedelic mushrooms and two loaded handguns. The street value of the marijuana is $64,300.
On Thursday, July 8, officers from the Metro Crime Unit received information about possible drug activity at 307 Cedar Street.
Officers went to 307 Cedar Street and spoke to the resident, Jared Morgan, about the complaint. While speaking to Morgan, officers noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside of the residence.
During a consensual search of the residence, officers located approximately 8.5 pounds of high grade marijuana with an approx. street value of $64,300, approximately 1 ounce of psychedelic mushrooms and two loaded handguns.
Morgan was charged with possession of a schedule I and VI drugs with intent to sell / deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a weapon during the commission of a dangerous felony.
Morgan’s bond was set at $25,000 and he is to be in General Session’s Court on July 13, 2021.
