Paris, Tenn.–A huge crowd of some 250 children and adults gathered at the Henry County Fairgrounds Wednesday for a petting zoo sponsored by the W.G. Rhea Library as part of its Summer Reading program. Library Director Kathy Collins said they were overwhelmed by the response to the petting zoo, which is operated by Hooper Farms of Milan. “When we got to the fairgrounds, there were people already here waiting for us to get everything set up,” she said. “And the people just kept coming.” A large variety of animals were on site, including goats, a camel, llama, kangaroo, lemur, geese, giant turtle and much more.
