Paris, Tenn.–At a meeting recessed from last week, the Henry County Commission unanimously approved a 2921-2022 county general fund budget of $12,941,640 and approved the property tax rate which shows no change from last year.
Both items were discussed at last week’s regular meeting. The property tax rate unanimously approved was $1.89 per $100 of assessed value, the same as it is currently.
Also approved were appropriations of $89,685 for 19 non-profit and civic organizations.
In other business, commissioners also appointed the following persons to the newly-formed redistricting committee: Commissioners Randy Gean, Drew Williams, Marty Visser, Kenneth Humphreys, James Travis, as well as County Mayor John Penn Ridgeway and Elections Administrator DeLaina Green.
Appointed to the Civil Service Board was Gail Fowler and appointed to the Henry County Library Board was Commissioner James Copeland.
