Cottage Grove, Tenn.–At the request of 24th District Attorney General Matt Stowe, TBI special agents are investigating an incident that occurred in the Cottage Grove community of Henry County this morning.
At the request of RadioNWTN, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Public Information Officer Keli McAlister issued the following statement this afternoon:
“At approximately 10 a.m., deputies with the Henry County Sheriff’s Office went to a home in the 1900 block of Hayes Store Road to serve a felony arrest warrant. As they attempted to enter the home, officers heard a gunshot. They backed out of the home and secured the scene. When tactical officers made entry, they found an individual deceased inside. This remains an active and ongoing investigation.”
