Friday, Vinson Taylor Jr, 21, Dyersburg, asked to speak with a supervisor in the lobby of the Dyersburg Police Department in reference to a complaint on an officer. A supervisor attempted to speak with Taylor about the complaint when he became irate; cursing and creating a disturbance in the lobby. Taylor was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct when he refused to comply with the officer’s requests.
Taylor was being transported to jail when he asked the arresting officer how old his daughters were. Taylor told the officer “I’m going to find out what their names are, you got something coming, too”. Taylor was then charged with retaliation for past actions. Taylor was jailed, but not processed due to his uncooperative and combative behavior. Taylor’s court appearance is today at 4:00 p.m.
