
Mayfield, Ky.–Graves Sheriff’s deputies and detectives have been receiving information concerning a Mayfield woman selling large quantities of crystal methamphetamine in the Mayfield area.
A several weeks long investigation led to a search warrant being obtained for the suspects residence located in the 500 block of South 8th Street in Mayfield.
On Monday morning (June 14, 2021) at 6AM, Graves Sheriff’s deputies executed the search warrant at the residence, that belonged to 45-year-old Jennifer (Pugh) Dowdy.
During the search, over 1 Pound (18.5 ounces) of crystal Methamphetamine was seized, along with 13 dosage units of the designer drug ecstasy, U.S. currency believed to have been the proceeds of illegal drug sales, electronic scales, packaging material, and other related items.
According to the press release, 18.5 ounces of crystal methamphetamine equates to 518 grams. Meth is sold on the street to those addicted primarily at ¼ to a gram at a time, at $100 dollars per gram.
This quantity of Methamphetamine had the potential street value of $51,800 dollars.
The suspect in this case was identified at being 45 year old Jennifer (Pugh) Dowdy, of South 8th Street in Mayfield.
She was charged with the following:
*Trafficking in Methamphetamine 2nd Offense
*Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd Degree
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Offense
*Trafficking in a 2nd Degree Controlled Substance
Dowdy has a previous felony conviction for Trafficking in Methamphetamine in Graves County in 2005.
She was lodged at the Graves County Jail.
