Henry, Tenn.–A child was airlifted to a trauma unit of an area hospital after being kicked by a horse Sunday afternoon.
According to emergency personnel, the child was kicked in the chest.
The Henry Volunteer Fire Department, County EMS and Henry County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the Dorsey Road area on the report of the injured child.
Henry Fire personnel said six firefighters responded to the scene and once on the scene, they relocated to Tosh Farms in Henry to set up a landing zone from which the child was airlifted to a trauma hospital.
No further details on the child’s condition were available.
