Anglers From All Over U.S. In Big Sandy For Crappie USA

Big Sandy, Tenn.–There’s a lot of action at Big Sandy this weekend, as anglers from all over the country are participating in the Crappie USA Tournament on Kentucky Lake.

Local Fishing Guide and Bethel University Bethel Fishing Team Coach Garry Mason said both pro and amateur divisions are competing. He said there are about 38 boats (two fishermen each) in the tournament.

The final weigh-in will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 12, at Big Sandy City Hall.

Mason said a national TV crew is there filming the action and the show ill be on later on the Pursuit Channel.

After the first day, the anglers who are leading are:

Pro Division Chase Petty, Matt Dretzka.

Amateur Division Michael McGregor, Jeff Outland.
