Paris, Tenn.–W.G. Rhea Library Children’s Librarian Kayla Nation shows the children at today’s first Story Hour held at the Atkins-Porter Botanical Garden how to plant seeds. The Outdoor Story Time was a definite success, with a good turnout for the weekly event. Kids planted seeds in two planters brought by Nation and they will watch their seeds grow over the course of the Summer Reading Program. The Outdoor Story Time will be held each Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the AP Garden. The theme of this summer’s Reading Program is “Tails & Tales” and will be held through July 15. Nature Cat will provide the program at 10 a.m. this Wednesday at the library and brown bags with free craft supplies are handed out to the kids each Wednesday. There also are book giveaways during the Reading Program. Call the library at 642 1702. (Shannon McFarlin photo).
