In Paris, Harbor Freight has signed a lease to open a store in the former Peebles’ Store location in the Walmart shopping mall.
Timothy Grogan, the representative of McLain Real Estate in Huntsville, Alabama, which owns the building, confirmed to RadioNWTN that Harbor Freight would be opening the former Peebles’ Building.
Rob Goad, Executive Director of the Paris-Henry County Industrial Committee, said the city of Paris and the county welcome the addition of Harbor Freight locally. “This will be a great addition to our retail sector. Any retail sales growth is great for Henry County and this will be especially great for the city of Paris.”
Goad noted that with Harbor Freight’s specialty of selling low cost tools that are customer-grade and in some cases, contractor-grade, too, the store should be a popular one for the area.
“They’re expanding into our region quickly,” Goad said.
Other Harbor Freight stores in our area are in Dyersburg, Milan, and Jackson.
