Paris, Tenn.–Paris Board of Public Utilities has been named the 2020 TVA Energy Right Solutions Communicator of the Year. Receiving the award on behalf of the utility was Meagan Hart, Paris BPU Brand Solutions and Strategic Communications Manager.
“Meagan is to be congratulated for this well-deserved honor,” said Terry Wimberley, Paris BPU President & CEO. “She continues to help shed a positive light on Paris BPU within our own community as well as draw positive attention to us from across the Tennessee Valley. Meagan’s skills and abilities are a great asset to our utility.”

“Paris BPU is in the forefront of bridging the gap between the new social media age and utility sector,” said Shana Woods, TVA Program Manager-Commercial Energy Solutions. “With the leadership of Meagan Hart, Paris BPU has been very innovative in communicating all things electricity and knows how to have a little fun too.”
A small ceremony was held and TVA representatives in attendance were Mark Yates, TVA Regional Vice President – West Regional Relations; Brian Smith, Customer Service Manager – Customer Delivery; and Shana Woods, Program Manager – Commercial Energy Solutions.
While in town they had opportunity to see the East Alley Murals that were a collaborative effort between TVA, Paris BPU, Downtown Paris Association, and City of Paris, TN government.
