Union City, Tenn.–Discovery Park of America CEO Scott Williams and Graphic Design Director Carly Kendall show off the (cardboard) trophies that will be awarded the winners at Saturday’s annual Cardboard Boat Regatta at Discovery Park of America. The event will begin at 10 a.m., with races to start at 11. As always, boats can only be made out of cardboard and duct tape – nothing more–and it’s always amazing to see the ingenuity involved in creating the cardboard boats. Free cardboard is available to be picked up at Discovery Park. Just call the grounds department at 731-885-5455 to schedule a time for pickup. (DPA photo).
