McKenzie, Tenn.–The Carroll County Relay for Life Annual Cancer Bake Auction will get underway May 10-14 at the McKenzie Church of Christ at 16300 Highland Drive.

Last year over $10,000 dollars was raised by the Radio Auction, which is aired daily on WHDM 98.9 FM AM 1440 in McKenzie.

Event Organizer Sherry Washburn is excited about this year’s auction that will begin at 1 p.m. Monday through Friday. She announced the auctioneers for the event: Monday Bro. Chance Steen, minister at the McKenzie Church of Christ: Tuesday Wayne Bannister: Wednesday Tim McBride: Thursday Kenny McBride: and Friday Bro. Kenny Carr from Long Heights Baptist Church.

Washburn said, “We always have some great auctioneers and this year is no different although the shoes of Bro. Jim Roberts will be hard to fill.”  Roberts retired as minister at the Church of Christ earlier last year.

This years telephone numbers to call during the auction are 731-393-3384, 3386 or 3389.  Phones are generously furnished by ACS Verizon in McKenzie.  There are two ways you can help with the auction.  1st is to donate baked goods, pies, cakes, cookies, whole dinner baskets, and so much more and 2nd is to bid on items donated for the auction.
