Jovante Moffatt, of the Cleveland Browns, is Union City High School’s first graduate to play in the National Football League.
The event will be held at the Nash Street Park from 3-8 p.m. and will also coincide with Moffatt announcing the formation of his foundation that will provide scholarships and help those in need in Union City Schools.
The Union City City Council also will read a proclamation in Moffatt’s honor at the event.
The block party itself will feature many activities for both kids and adults.
For students, there will be games, 3-point and free-throw shooting contests, a football toss, and a bouncy castle – all beginning at 3 and running until 5 p.m. Free food and drinks will be served from 5-6 and socializing will continue from 6 until 8 p.m.
The event will also include a Moffatt Cleveland Browns’ jersey raffle.
