Paris, Tenn.–A record 38 boats, 11 kids in the Fishing Rodeo, and four Turkey Teams participated in Cast-N-Blast 2021 on Saturday to benefit the Henry County Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse.

Center Director Carly Wheat said, “This was the best year yet, raising over $14,000.”

Saturday was a bit chilly, but that didn’t prevent spectators from being present at the weigh in and there was great turnout at the kids fishing rodeo.

Wheat said having TWRA and the Paris Landing State Park Birds of Prey on site made for a fun event for everyone.

“Many thanks to the Tournament Director Chris Davis, Henry County Sheriff’s deputies, Center staff, volunteers, and many sponsors who made the event possible,” she said.
