LBL To Celebrate Homeschool Month With Special Programming

lbl-homeschool

Calling all home educating families! The Friends of Land Between the Lakes invite you to visit Woodlands Nature Station during April and use the outdoors as your classroom.
You can pick up a “Nature Discovery Activity Book” at Nature Station and use it to guide you through a variety of exploration activities that will help you learn about nature through all sorts of subjects! Books and activities are available at Nature Station daily from 10am-5pm.
Take advantage of special programs specifically geared for homeschoolers scheduled several times a week throughout the month. Check out a DIY Pond Prowl kit or stick around for our weekday Afternoon Animal Encounters at 1:30pm and Raptor Row at 4pm.
If you complete your activity book and attend at least two programs at Nature Station during April, you can earn your official Nature Discovery patch and certificate!
The 7th annual VIRTUAL Homeschoolers Day on Facebook will be Friday, April 30. This year’s theme is What a Water-ful World! STEAM inspired activities and videos in science, English, art and math, combined with nature fun, will highlight the day.
