Henry, Tenn.–A fire which destroyed an abandoned home early this morning in Henry is under investigation. The Henry Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched at 2:14 a.m. this morning to a structure fire on Railroad Avenue. According to fire officials, the department was initially dispatched to ‘something on fire’ behind a home on College Street and arrived to find a fully-involved structure fire. The home was abandoned and no one was living in it. The department was assisted on the scene by the Paris Fire Department. It is not known yet whether the fire is connected to a series of arson fires (which included another abandoned home) which have occurred in Henry County. (Henry VFD photo).
