Paris, Tenn.–At 4:15 am this morning Paris Landing Fire Department was dispatched to 6160 Highway 79 North (The Tackle Box) for a report of a stove on fire.
Paris Landing Fire Chief Reggie Coles said arriving units found an employee, Roy Vassell was cooking when the stove caught fire. The employee, who is a former firefighter, was able to extinguish most of the fire with a dry chemical extinguisher prior to the Fire Department’s arrival. The remainder of the fire was extinguished and damage was minimal.
Also responding to the call was the Paris Fire Department and the Henry County Sheriff’s deputies.
