Paris, Tenn.–The citizens of Henry County may have already noticed more patrol cars than normal this week, not to mention more K9s.

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office and Deputy Sgt. Ricky Wade are hosting a police K-9 school all week at the County Fairgrounds.

Sheriff Josh Frey said there are over 50 K-9 teams in town from eight different states.

The school is being held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily at the fairgrounds daily. Friday will be a day of competition between the teams.

Frey said the public is welcome to the fairgrounds to observe the dogs at work  anytime this week.
