Dover, Tenn.–Many have been excitedly gathering at Fort Donelson National Battlefield recently looking for the telltale signs that the Bald Eagles Jack and Lizzy may once again be parents and there now may be photographic evidence that there is a newborn in the nest.
Connie Ross Wilson shared this image, which shows what appears to be the fuzzy-headed top of an eaglet slightly visible above the nest.
Loyal photographers and others who have been gathering there have been reporting activities that seem to support there is at least one little one in the nest. If so, this would be Number 31 for Jack and Lizzy and possibly more.
Jack and Lizzy are a popular attraction at Fort Donelson and many Bald Eagle-watchers gather there on a daily basis to take their photos.
