
Paris, Tenn.–Paris Police Chief Ricky Watson has announced several recent promotions within the department, starting with the promotion of Lt. Ean Reed to the position of Assistant Chief. Reed is a 21-year veteran of the department.
Lt. Jeramye Whitaker, a 15-year veteran, has been promoted to Lt. of the Criminal Investigation Unit, and Sgt. Derrek Colley has been promoted to supervisor of the Metro Crime Unit. Sgt. Colley is a 12-year veteran of the department.
Chief Watson also announced these promotions:
–Sgt. Greg Underwood, a 27-year veteran, promoted to Lt. of a night-time patrol shift.
–Sgt. Eric Long, a 25-year veteran, promoted to Lt. of a night-time patrol shift.
–Officer Amber Roaten, an 11-year veteran, promoted to night-time Sergeant of patrol shift.
–Officer Jeff Smith, a 12-year veteran, promoted to Sergreant of the Criminal Investigation Division.
Watson said, “Each of these Officers stand out in their own way, but their experience, attitude, and dedication make this department stand out against other agencies similar in size.”
