
Mayfield, Ky.–A driver was injured and crawled to a nearby home for help after driving into a washed-out road in Graves County Monday.
Graves County Sheriff Jon Hayden said a 911 call was received around 7:20 a.m. of an injury accident on Knob Creek Road in the southern part of the county.
A pickup truck driven by 21-year-old Brett Crawford of Clinton, Ky. had crashed into a large washed-out section on the road. The washout occurred during the overnight hours due to Sunday’s heavy rainfall and extensive flooding.
The driver was injured and crawled to a nearby residence for help. He was transported by Mayfield-Graves County EMS to a local hospital.
The accident was investigated by Sgt. David Warner.
