Tickets for Union City’s Wednesday night games in the District 13A Tournament will go on sale at the high school today.
They will be available from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. and will sell for $6 each.
The Tornado squads will play in either the championship games or consolation round of the district tourney Wednesday night at Marty Sisco Gymnasium. Regardless of tonight’s outcomes, the girls will tip-off at 5 p.m. The gymnasium will then be cleared and cleaned due to coronavirus protocols before the boys play at 7:45.
Fans will need two tickets to watch both games.
Around 350 tickets will be made available to Union City fans for both games.
Wins tonight in the 13A semifinals by either or both UC teams means they would also play their respective first-round regional games at home this weekend.
The top-seeded UC girls host Bradford tonight at 5, while the No. 1 Tornado boys face Greenfield at 7:45 p.m. No tickets will be available at the door.
The Region 7A Tournament bracket will not be finalized until the opposing district (14A) completes its championship and consolation rounds Thursday night.
Also, there will be no free Facebook livestreaming for the postseason due to TSSAA rules that charge the tournament a fee for any such broadcast.
