cth-snow-feb-17-by-ron-w

Paris, Tenn.–Henry County Mayor John Penn Ridgeway has announced Henry County General Government Offices will remain closed Friday, February 19, due continued hazardous road conditions.
Mayor Ridgeway said, ” After discussion with county officials this afternoon, we decided it would be in the best interest of the public and employees to remain closed.  The County Highway Dept, the City of Paris and Tennessee Department of Transportation personnel have done a superb job of snow removal on our main highways, roads and streets, however, many county rural roads are still snow and ice covered.  As temperatures begin to melt the snow, these roads will become very slick.  County offices will reopen for normal operations on Monday, February 22.”
The Inman School Warming Shelter on Harrison St will remain open through Saturday as temperatures begin to rebound above freezing this weekend with a warming trend expected into next weekend.
County offices closed on Friday include the Courthouse, Courthouse Annex, Central Community Building, Election Office, Health Dept, Recycling Center, Airport, and Circuit and General Sessions Courts.
The Henry County Health Dept will be contacting persons directly to reschedule appointments for those  who have had to miss appointments and are due second vaccine dose of COVID 19 due to the weather cancellations as soon as they resume operations next week.
