
Paris, Tenn.–Henry County Mayor John Penn Ridgeway has announced Henry County General Government offices will remain closed tomorrow, February 18th due to ongoing winter weather and hazardous road conditions, especially out in the rural areas of the county.
Mayor Ridgeway stated, “Although we have seen much improvement in our main roads and highways, many secondary and rural roads remain snow covered. The county is expected to receive another 2-4 inches of snow this afternoon (Wednesday, Feb. 17) and into the evening making all roads difficult for travel.”
Henry County Court Clerk Mike Wilson said, “General Sessions Court will also be canceled Thursday. Cases will be reset accordingly and we ask persons who need to reschedule to check with their attorney or contact the court clerks office at 731-642-0461 once county business resumes.”
EMA Director Ron Watkins said Henry County is under a Winter Storm Warning through 6 pm Thursday..
Offices closed Thursday include: Courthouse, Courthouse Annex, Airport, Central Community Building, Recycling Center, Health Dept, and General Sessions Court.
