Union City, Tenn.–The Union City School System is mourning the unexpected death of middle school student Heavenlee Weatherspoon on Sunday.
UC Schools are providing professional counseling help to students and staff who need such services in coping with the tragedy.
“We are devasted by the shocking passing of Heavenlee and join with her family and many friends in mourning her death,” Union City Director of Schools Wes Kennedy said. “We encourage any and all of our students, faculty and staff to reach out to someone to talk to and share with if they have a need.”
