Johnsonville State Historic Park–Despite very cold temperatures, teams of volunteers removed 7,389 pounds of trash from the Tennessee River at Johnsonville State Historic Park over the weekend.

That was two boats full of trash including 81 bags of trash, 27 tires, 2 tractor tires, 115 feet of barge line, a 400-pound, 20-foot metal pipe, and so much more.
The river cleanups are sponsored by Keep The Tennessee River Beautiful. The park co-organized the cleanup weekend and TVA staff and local 4-H groups helped with the cleanup.
