Paris, Tenn.—At a hearing Wednesday in Henry County Circuit Court, Judge Donald Parish ordered bond for murder suspect James Caddell be revoked.

Caddell, age 75, is accused of murdering his wife, Stella, in July 2020.

Caddell, of Puryear, had requested that his bond be reduced from the original $1M that had been set earlier.

A special grand jury in December issued indictments charging him with first degree murder, abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence.

At Wednesday’s hearing, Assistant District Attorney Rebecca Griffey presented the state’s case against bond reduction and TBI Special Agent Joe Hudgins Jr. testified.

Caddell will continue to be held in the Henry County Jail without bond.
