Weakley Co. Health Department Overwhelmed With Calls For Vaccine

wkley-health

Dresden, Tenn.–Local health departments are receiving the COVID-19 vaccine in limited supply. Weakley County is officially in Phase 1A1 and 1A2 currently, and availability for scheduling the vaccine is exclusive to the populations in Phase 1A1 and 1A2. The Weakley County Health Department is fielding hundreds and hundreds of calls; the waiting list is lengthy, supplies are limited, and staff is vaccinating individuals as quickly and efficiently as possible. The Health Department is experiencing an astounding volume of calls. Officials said, “Your patience is very much appreciated. If you cannot get through to the Health Department by telephone, please hang up and try again in a few minutes: (731) 364-2258.”
The Weakley County Health Department staff has been working courageously and tirelessly since the beginning of the pandemic to help us all during these unsettling times.
