Union City, Tenn.–Union City High School Band officials said this morning that the band will not be participating in the Union City Christmas Parade tonight.
In a Facebook post, the band director said the decision was made “due to the number of student absences/shutdown over the last month. I would like to thank Lauren Tanner with Main Street Union City for keeping a great line of communication with me during this unprecedented time. We look forward to performing in our Christmas Parade next year.”
Tonight’s parade begins at 7 p.m.
