Paris, Tenn.–The Paris-Henry County Arts Council has moved into its new home at the former NC & St.L depot at 203 N. Fentress Street in Paris.

After some sprucing up, board members recently helped move in their furnishings and they are anxious to begin serving the community again soon.

New Arts Council President Karen Sinn said the organization is grateful to Security Bank for the use the building. “Additional thanks goes to Sherwin Williams for their donation of paint, Servall Restoration for carpet cleaning, and Dan Jackson for office chairs and tables,” she said.

The Arts Council still could use more donations to make the office more functional, she said. If you or a company have excess office furniture or equipment, please contact them for a list of needs. Our email address is phcarts@gmail.com or call/text 731-642-3953.

The depot most recently was the home to Muzzall Tax Service and the Downtown Paris Association.

Board members who volunteered to help with the move included James Wyatt, Nancy Elliot, Karen Sinn, JoAnn Steedly, and Dennis Melhouse, Ramay Winchester, Sarah Wills, Aaron Daniel, Mary Ann Claxton, and Karen Geary.
