Lady Wildcats Sign McKenzie Soccer Star

allie-chappell

McKenzie, Tenn.–The Bethel Lady Wildcats signed McKenzie High School star Allie Chappell Tuesday morning.  Allie is the daughter of Brad and Christie Chappell and is undecided on her major.

She is the granddaughter of Richard & Peggy Chappell and Mike & Laura Bateman.

Allie was quite the standout for the Lady Rebels. She helped lead her teams to three district championships, two region titles and four straight TSSAA state tournament appearances. During those four seasons Chappell scored 71 goals and had 33 assists. She was named to the all-district and all-tournament squads each year at MHS. Allie rounded out her prep career being named the Offensive MVP of the district her senior year.  She had 22 goals and 13 assists her final season at MHS.

Chappell’s most memorable moment as a Rebel was winning the district championship against Martin-Westview her sophomore year. The Lady Rebels outlasted the Chargers after two overtimes and two rounds of penalty kicks.

Allie feels her biggest strengths are her qualities of leadership and her immense love of the game. She prides herself on her preparation and work ethic.

Chappell is the epitome of the term student-athlete. She is a member of the DECA, Beta, and M-Club at MHS. She is on the Teen Health Council, and Student Council representative. The Vice-President of the Class of 2021 is a member of Young Life and was selected for Youth Leadership of Carroll County. The Miss MHS is also a Girl’s State Representative.

Bethel Coach Misty Aird commented, “We are thrilled to sign a local product like Allie. She is not only a high caliber player but her character and work ethic is simply outstanding. We look forward to her being a huge part of our program for the next four years.  She will excel on the field as well as in the classroom.”
