Paris, Tenn.—Josh Frey was sworn in as the new Henry County Sheriff just prior to the Henry County Commission meeting Thursday evening and took the opportunity to announce that Scott Wyrick has been named Chief Deputy.
Wyrick has worked for the sheriff’s office for 29 years as a deputy, supervisor and investigator.
Frey was sworn in by Judge Vicki Snyder before a large group of family, friends and co-workers.
In presenting Wyrick to everyone, Frey said, “I couldn’t think of a better man for the job.”
Wyrick said, “I’m excited and humbled to serve in this capacity. We live in a great community and I look forward to continued partnership with the community. It’s awesome to live in a community that supports law enforcement as they do. It’s the people who work for the department that make it. I believe in God, family, job and I’m looking forward to getting started.”
