Paris, Tenn.–What began as disappointment turned into one of 9-year-old Kane Price’s best days–and he raised $500 for the Henry County Sheriff’s Animal Shelter at the same time. Kane’s Mom Amber Hill said he was kind of bummed about not having a birthday party with his friends this year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But his Mom surprised him with a drive-by birthday parade “and that turned out great”, she said. Kane, who turned 9 on Monday, had asked for people to buy dog food and items that could be donated to the shelter. His friends and family brought them during the drive-by birthday parade. Kane raised a whopping $500 worth of food and supplies. His Mom said, “He loved the feeling and seeing what he did” when they delivered the items to the shelter later. (Amber Hill photo).
