Murray, Ky.–A Paris man was arrested on drug and firearms charges after over one pound of marijuana was found in his possession in Murray late Thursday evening.
Laquan McFerren, age 27, was charged with trafficking in marijuana, firearm enhanced and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Murray Police stopped McFerren’s vehicle on N. 12th St. at 11:40 p.m. Thursday night. During the traffic stop, the officer located over one pound of marijuana in the vehicle as well as a firearm on the driver. He also was charged with a traffic violation.
He was lodged in the Calloway County Jail.
