Paris, Tenn.–A rural Paris home was destroyed Wednesday afternoon, but no injuries were reported at the scene. The Oakland Fire Department was dispatched at 12:48 p.m. to assist the Paris Fire Department with the structure fire at 60 Whispering Pines Road. Oakland VFD Chief James Martin said his department assisted with keeping water in the Paris Fire Department’s truck as well as operating an attack line. The Paris-Henry County Rescue Squad was called as a precaution and the Henry County Sheriff’s Office directed traffic at the scene. (James Martin photo).
