
The Tennessee National Wildlife Refuge in Springville is seeking info in recent acts of vandalism, according to a news release.
There have been a series of recent sign thefts on the refuge, mostly over the past weekend at the Duck River Bottoms area. Some of the signs costs several hundred dollars each. They were secured down with lock proof bolts on solid posts. Sometimes the posts were chain-sawed or the bolts were cut off.
Refuge official s said they want the refuge to look nice and directional signs are needed to help orient visitors.
