The Henry County School System and USDA are teaming up for a Farmers to Families Food Box Giveaway, according to a news release.
The Food Box Giveaway is open to all Henry County residents with proof of residency. Drive-Thru begins at 2:45p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, at Henry School.
Boxes will be loaded in your vehicle for you.
Enter from the south end of Henry School thru front parking lot, exiting onto Pioneer Road in front of school.
No boxes will be given away until buses are clear of the parking lot at 2:45 p.m.
Each box will contain 10 to 12 pounds of fruit and vegetables, 5 to 6 pounds of at least 2 pre-cooked frozen or refrigerated meat items, 5-6 pounds of at least 2 dairy items. It is free until it is gone.
One box per family, please.
