
Mayfield, Ky.–A former employee of the Mayfield Consumer Products candle manufacturing plant is accused of long-term theft of some $16,000 worth of equipment from the company.
On October 6, 2020 the Graves County Sheriff’s Office received a request from the Mayfield Consumer Products (MCP) candle manufacturing plant, for an investigation into a considerable theft that had been occurring at the business.
On October 8, 2020, Sheriff’s deputies as part of the investigation went to a residence located on Cooley Road in Hickman County, with the assistance of the Hickman County Sheriff’s Office. Information received led them to this residence, the residence of a former employee of the company, Christopher L. Meyers.
While at the residence, over $16,000 dollars’ worth of stolen property belonging to MCP was recovered. Items stolen included product, tools, and equipment that was used at the company, which is located on Industrial Road in Mayfield.
Methamphetamine was also recovered, and the suspect was arrested for Methamphetamine trafficking by the Hickman County Sheriff Ben Nativadad.
Charges have in addition been filed against the suspect by the Graves County Sheriff’s Office for Theft by Unlawful Taking over $10,000.

The stolen property recovered has been returned to the victim/owner at MCP in Mayfield.
