Murray Woman Facing Multiple Charges After Being Found Unconscious in a Running Vehicle Stuck in Ditch

A Murray, Ky., woman is facing multi0ple charges after being found unconscious inside a running car in a ditch early Tuesday morning in Graves County, according to a news release.

According to the release. Graves County Deputy Chandler Sirls was dispatched to a vehicle driving through someone’s yard that was stuck in a ditch on KY 464, around 3 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22.

Sirls located Kayla Chambers, 33 of Murray, unconscious in the running vehicle stuck in a ditch on KY 464, about one mile west of the Calloway County Line. Through an investigation, Sirls determined Chambers was under the influence and placed her under arrest. A search of the vehicle was conducted and methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, scales as well as a large sum of money were located inside of the vehicle. Chambers was arrested and lodged in the Graves County Jail.

Chambers was charged with the following offenses: trafficking in controlled substance 1st Degree, 1st offense (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, DUI 1st offense and traffic offenses.

Sirls was assisted by the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office.
